About Us
Amin’s Indian Food was established by the entrepreneurial spirit of Khalada and Ruhul Amin who immigrated to Nova Scotia in search of a better life for their family. With humble beginnings and a strong will to succeed, they followed their passion and started a catering and wholesale business in 1995. They offered various homestyle samosas and curry dishes using authentic recipes from Bangladesh. They never looked back and have maintained a strong customer base and a popular vending spot at the Halifax Seaport Farmers’ Market since 2010.
As the current operators, we’ve been following in their footsteps with a mission to share the goodness of homestyle Indian cuisine and make light, delicious and healthy Indian food dishes accessible to all Nova Scotians. Based at the popular Halifax Seaport Farmers’ Market, we have been lucky enough to partner with local farmers and vendors for sourcing quality ingredients for our recipes. We believe in wholesome and natural ingredients and focus on making meals nourishing & enjoyable for our customers – be it at our vibrant market booth or in the comfort of their home.
